The road traffic collision occurred on the A5 Tullyvar Road near Aughnacloy at just after 7am this morning (27 April).
Police have confirmed that three people involved in the crash have died, and four more are injured.
“I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the victims of this horrific accident and their families, at what must be an unimaginably difficult time,” said Cllr Donnelly.
“This is yet another senseless tragedy in a long line of senseless tragedies we’ve unfortunately seen on the A5, and there are clearly very blatant public safety issues there that need to be addressed as a matter of utmost priority.
“Words and sentiments simply don’t cut it any more. We need to see urgent action undertaken to prevent any further heartache and loss of life on this road.”
