
Mr Tennyson has said: “These comments are utterly corrosive and deny the lived experiences of victims and survivors.
“Peddling a narrative that past violence here in Northern Ireland was somehow ‘different’ or ‘more acceptable’ only creates the conditions in which more young people today can be groomed by those who would seek to justify current violence.
“These comments, and those expressed by Jamie Bryson on the same podcast, are two sides of the same toxic coin, and neither are conducive to building the shared, respectful, and inclusive future we should all be striving for.”
