Your Candidate in West Tyrone is: Stephen Donnelly
Stephen grew up locally in Clanabogan, subsequently attending Omagh Integrated Primary School and Drumragh Integrated College as part of his education.
A former pupil of Hazelwand Theatre School, Stephen is hugely passionate about the literary, arts and culture scene across the constituency.
Having graduated from QUB with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, Stephen has worked as a Risk Analyst in the financial services sector.
Since the Alliance surge in May of this year Stephen now works full-time as a Councillor representing the people of Omagh and Killyclogher.
Stephen recognises tackling the climate crisis starts at home. This is why he voted to create Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s first ever Climate Change Resilience Committee. If elected, he will hold the UK Government to account on maintaining environmental protection standards.
Stephen understands the necessity of continued upgrading of the water infrastructure network across West Tyrone. Due to insufficient finance, families are suffering, business growth is being hindered and our potential as a region is being stifled. Stephen will be a strong voice for a change in direction.
Crime and anti-social behaviour
Crime and anti-social behaviour is of concern to many across West Tyrone. Stephen has worked with the PSNI, community groups and statutory agencies to tackle this problem and promote a culture of respect for the rule of law.
