
Ms Mulholland has said: “When law and order breaks down, it is always the most vulnerable who suffer the most. For the Communities Minister to make such a reckless, irresponsible post at a time when community tensions were already so heightened represents an abject failure of leadership, and we welcome these findings from the Standards Commissioner.
“As elected representatives we have a duty to use the platforms we have responsibly, and to be mindful of the potential impact our words can have at all times. We would urge Mr Lyons to reflect on this ruling and consider not just his position, but how he engages with others right across the board.”
