Mr McReynolds has said: “This attack is truly appalling and must be robustly condemned by all political parties. There is no place in our community for such hatred and discrimination. I am thankful that there have been no reported injuries from this dangerous attack, and my thoughts are with the members of the church who are now left to pick up the pieces.
“This behaviour is unjustifiable and totally unacceptable. Those responsible do not represent the views of the broader community, which opposes these senseless attacks, and they must face the full consequences of their actions.
“The repeated hate and race fuelled attacks we have witnessed across Northern Ireland recently are extremely concerning and deeply unsettling for communities. People have the right to live free from fear and violence.
“Anyone with information about this incident I urge you to contact the police on 101 quoting reference number 1852 of 27/08/24 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
