It’s reported that a property was set alight just after 2am in Limavady today (Sunday 27 July 2025). The house and a van at the property have been completely destroyed.

 

Alliance Councillor Mairs said: “This is an extremely distressing incident, both for the property owner and the wider community as a whole. We can only be glad nobody was in the property at the time of the fire.”

 

“My thoughts and sympathies are with the owners of the property who have seen their home completely destroyed.

 

“I would urge anyone who may have any information that could help police in their investigations to please get in touch with them, or report it anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
