Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council is seeking to invest in a number of proposals through the Public Realm Project which are aimed at improving the local Carryduff area. Some of the proposals include pavement works, pedestrian crossings and access to Carryduff Park.
Cllr Harpur said: “As Vice Chair of the Regeneration and Growth Committee, which is responsible for the Public Realm Project, I was very glad to see the public consultation take place today in Carryduff and was happy to attend alongside my Alliance colleagues.
“This consultation included key elements of what Alliance has been advocating for in the Carryduff area; pedestrian crossings at the Carryduff roundabout, greater access to Carryduff Park, more accessible pavements for those with mobility issues and solutions to the heavily congested Church Road.
“I hope to see this project succeed as it will enable substantial investment in Carryduff and give a significant boost to the local community. I would encourage people to have their say and fill out the consultation, which you can access online if you were unable to attend today’s event.”
