Alliance Councillor Tom Campbell has expressed his sadness on behalf of the local community following the death of a motorcyclist in a single vehicle crash on the Shore Road at Jordanstown.

The collision happened at around 11.10pm on the 19th of July. Police attended the scene, along with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, where the male rider of a black Suzuki motorbike was pronounced dead.

“It is shocking that someone has lost their life, under such devastating circumstances. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of the motorcyclist,” said Alderman Campbell.

“This will come as a real shock to our community, who will be rightly saddened by the news of another life lost needlessly on our roads.

“I urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have information, to contact the PSNI on 101.”
