The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning (13 June), and is being treated by police as being racially motivated.
Alderman Boyle has said: “This was a sinister act of racist intimidation, and we must all be totally unequivocal in condemnation of it.
“We can only be thankful nobody in the house at the time, including three young children, was seriously hurt. The prejudice that leads to this kind of violence needs to challenged, and we can only tackle it by calling it out for what it is.
“We’re currently engaging with all the relevant authorities who are giving the family the support they need at this time. We’d also encourage anyone who has any information that could help bring those responsible to justice to please get in touch with the PSNI or report it anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
