Mr Tennyson said, “I want to thank PSNI for their willingness to engage with myself and Councillor Lavery following events in the town in recent weeks, and commend them on their ongoing efforts.

“These murders have caused huge upset across our community. There is no place for this kind of violence in society, and no support for it in Lurgan.

“There is an increased police presence in and around the town, with high visibility patrolling to provide reassurance to the public. Should anyone have any concerns or want to ask for help or advice, please speak to officers who are there to help.

Councillor Lavery added, “I would urge the public to be cautious about engaging in unfounded speculation online, and to take any information they may have – no matter how small or insignificant they feel it to be – to the police directly, or to report it anonymously via the Crimestoppers service.”

“The information that you have could be the missing piece that the police need to bring justice to these grieving families.”
