The Balmoral Show is the largest agri-food event in Northern Ireland and is the prime event of the agriculture calendar. The event runs for four days and offers something for everyone, from show jumping and competitive livestock classes to an excellent range of trade stands and fantastic food stalls, all showcasing the very best of Northern Ireland.
Mr Blair was speaking as the doors opened this morning: “This year it is great to see a continued focus on regenerative and nature-friendly farming practices at the Balmoral Show. With many stands, workshops, and talks from key organisations such as the Nature-Friendly Farming Network, RSPB, and Re-Gen, the show is a platform for exploring sustainable solutions. We invite all visitors to engage in these activities and discover how we can restore our natural environment and combat climate change.
“Before the opening of the show, the DEARA Minister provided an update on the Farm Support and Development Programme which offers various initiatives, packages, and measures aimed at promoting the economic and environmental sustainability of Northern Ireland’s agriculture sector. I am pleased that Minister Muir will attend the Balmoral Show from Wednesday to Friday to engage with visitors and vendors.
“I wish to thank all those who are organising and taking part in the Balmoral Show, making this year’s the best one yet.”
