Driving Investment in our City

I will continue to ensure the vision for South Belfast in the Belfast Region City Deal is realised. I am passionate about it helping to boost economic activity, create jobs, deliver infrastructure and act as a catalyst for a more prosperous, modern and sustainable city.

Enhancing our Communities

Residents’ quality of life and the enhancement of our community is at the heart of my work. Having worked for over a decade on inner-city regeneration, I know we need environmentally sensitive and interconnected development.

I am also determined to ensure increased school capacities, taking account of the particular circumstances of South Belfast and maximising choice for parents and pupils.

Meaningful Support for Families

People are struggling with the cost of raising a family and providing care for elderly family members, particularly given rising of grocery and fuel costs. I will focus on supporting those with caring responsibilities of any kind to continue in work and developing careers as they see fit, and for leisure facilities and healthcare services to meet the needs of people right across the community.
