Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council has confirmed that its programme of events, including live traditional music, dance performances and family-friendly activities, will be extended into the Carryduff and Four Winds areas as part of the wider Fleadh celebrations.

In addition, further community events and mobile arts exhibitions are planned across Castlereagh South.

Councillor Harpur said: “It’s incredibly exciting to see Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2026, as one of the largest live entertainment festivals on this island, come to Belfast, and it’s vital that communities like Carryduff and the Four Winds are able to fully share in its benefits.

“I’m really pleased to see Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council step up and commit to extending its programme into our area, with particular thanks going to my party colleague Councillor Aaron McIntyre for his work in ensuring the council is proactive and ready to seize this opportunity.

“Through initiatives like Park Life at Lough Moss, for example, we will see vibrant, family-friendly events that celebrate our shared cultural and artistic heritage, and showcase the fantastic local talent we have on offer.

“This also presents a brilliant opportunity to boost our local economy, bringing visitors into our communities, and creating a positive, lasting impact right across Castlereagh South.

“It’s important we continue to work together to make the most of what Fleadh 2026 can bring to our area.”
