The South Belfast MLA was speaking after Community Pharmacy NI warned crucial medications for the likes of depression, high blood pressure and stomach ulcers could run out within weeks due to skyrocketing costs

“I very much support the call of Community Pharmacy NI for work to be carried out to establish a drugs tariff for dispensing medicines,” said Ms Bradshaw.

“The financial burden for keeping people healthy should not fall upon the individual pharmacist.

“Patient well-being and safety should be reason enough for the Department of Health to look into this matter with the utmost urgency.”
