On Sunday (28 July) afternoon police reported that a man in his 50s died after a collision with a car on Killyleagh Road.
Cllr Lee-Surginor said: “I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic accident that occurred on Killyleagh Road in Downpatrick. My thoughts and prayers go out to the individual's family during this difficult time. Losing a loved one is never easy, and the pain is immeasurable. We extend our heartfelt condolences and stand in solidarity with the bereaved.
“I urge everyone to exercise caution on our roads. Let us remember the importance of road safety and look out for one another. Together, we can strive for safer streets and prevent such heartbreaking incidents.
