The school, parents and the wider community have been raising their concerns about ongoing disruption to daily school life and community-focused initiatives as a result of the prolonged closure of the hall.Ms Nicholl has said: “Both Paula and I have been engaging with the school and raising the issues with the Education Minister and the Education Authority in recent days.
“The continued closure of Rosetta Primary’s hall is not just an inconvenience. It is undermining the daily functioning of the school, preventing important activities such as whole-school assemblies, and impacting the strong sense of community that Rosetta has worked so hard to build.
“The delays in progressing the necessary repairs are unacceptable. The Education Authority must now prioritise these works as a matter of urgency.”
Ms Bradshaw added: “Rosetta Primary is a vital part of our community, and the ongoing disruption is impacting not just pupils and staff but also admissions and the ability to support wider community events.
“The Education Authority needs to provide clarity, accelerate repairs, and ensure that schools like Rosetta are not left without essential facilities for extended periods. After nine years of damage, this situation has dragged on for too long.
“We are calling on the Education Authority to fast‑track remedial work and restore access to the hall for the benefit of pupils, staff, and the wider community.”
