> Elected as a councillor for the first time at last elections in June 2001.

> Is the current Deputy Mayor; in her first term was elected as Deputy Mayor in June 2004.

> Has served in Larne's District Policing Partnership Board for three years - elected vice chairperson in 2004.

> Has served as a Director for North Antrim Leader Board - elected Vice-Chairperson in 2004.

> Was selected by officials in Washington and the US Consulate NI as a local Ambassador to American delegation of young political leaders to Northern Ireland in May 2003.

> Has tirelessly campaigned for facilities, recreational play areas and opportunities for young people.

> Has sought to enhance the environment and amenities on the Antrim Coast and Glens for residents and tourists.

> Has campaigned to preserve the area of outstanding natural beauty along the Antrim Coast Road, in particular against "apartment blight".

> Has been a strong voice for local community groups and their needs.
