> Active local Councillor in Victoria and current leader of Alliance Group in City Hall. hard working Assembly member for East Belfast, she practised as a civil engineer for 10 years before her election to the NI Assembly.

> Aged 33, Cllr Naomi Long was born and raised in East Belfast, educated at Mersey Street Primary School, Bloomfield Collegiate and QUB. Married to Michael for 10 years, she now lives in Ballyhackamore.

> As Alliance Education Spokesperson, successfully campaigned to save local libraries from closure in East Belfast.

> Successfully proposed a Council-wide ban on smoking in all enclosed public spaces and workplaces.

> Chair of East Belfast sub-group of the District Policing Partnership (2004-2005), she has worked closely with police and other agencies to combat antri-social behaviour, including in the Stormont, Knock and Wandsworth area.

> Successfully campaigned for a new crossing at relocated Ballyhackamore post office.
