Background:

Linda has been working for Portaferry Regeneration Limited as Manager and Administrator, on a part time basis, for four years overseeing four projects; budget accommodation, a marina, the Tourist Information Centre, and a business park.

Linda Cleland is highly active within the community. She was instrumental in securing a community centre and playground for the Bowtown area of Newtownards, and acquiring funding for a development worker to be put in place. She is working to get traffic calming measures put in place to try and overcome the horrendous congestion throughout Ards East. Linda is also working hard to ensure that the infrastructure is in place before any further housing is built throughout the Borough.

Linda supports and represents many residents at planning and social service appeals with a high success rate.
