Ford praises Dr Kumar Kamble on Enniskillen election result2.26.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Thu 18th Sep 2008
Alliance Leader David Ford has said he is very pleased with the vote gained by Dr Kumar Kamble in the Enniskillen by-election. He said that Alliance is growing and people recognise the party as the only alternative to the failing tribal Executive parties. David Ford: "I am very pleased with the vote Alliance gained in Enniskillen. It shows we are getting stronger with every election. This is our best result in the town in 23 years. "I want to congratulate Kumar on his performance - He has built a strong base for growth in the future. In three years time I believe he will have a strong chance of being elected, and would be an excellent Councillor for the area. "Last year we said that there would be no 'no-go' areas for Alliance and we meant it. We are growing across the West, as well as the East, and people realise that we are the only alternative to the failing tribal parties." ENDS
