North Down Alliance MLA, Stephen Farry, has described the murder of a man in a guesthouse in Princetown Road, Bangor as a 'shocking event'.

Stephen Farry stated: "I would pass on my sympathies to the family and friends of the man who has been brutally murdered in Bangor

"This is a shocking event which will alarm the local community, in the Princetown Road area and across the town. Thankfully, murders are a rare occurrence in Bangor.

"I have confidence in the ability of the local police to bring those responsible to justice. Given the nature and location of this offence, there should be a number of people who will be able to assist the police with their inquiries."
