Long expresses condolences following death of Dickie Best

Castlereagh Alliance Councillor Michael Long

Castlereagh Alliance Councillor Michael Long has expressed his condolences at news of the death of Dickie Best. He said that that Mr Best was a man of great dignity and will be much missed by people in the area.

Cllr Michael Long, who represents the Cregagh area where Mr Best lived, said: "I am deeply saddened at the news of the death of Dickie Best. He was a man who carried himself with great dignity during difficult times in recent years. He was a much-loved and well-respected local figure and will be much missed in the area.

"I met him on several occasions and he was a very warm and friendly person. I want to express my deepest condolences to his family at this most difficult of times."
