Coleraine Alliance Councillor Barney Fitzpatrick

Coleraine Alliance Councillor Barney Fitzpatrick has praised police following a massive cannabis seizure in the town today. Police seized the drugs from an area near Greenhaw Highway in Coleraine.

Cllr Barney Fitzpatrick said: "I want to congratulate local police on making this important seizure. These drugs were home produced and their seizure is an important attack on criminality in the area.

"Taking drugs like this off our streets is a key part of cracking down on the criminal elements that hurt many communities locally.

"Cannabis often provides a dangerous platform for people to move towards harder drugs, and this haul will help to fight this problem locally."
