Ford - Still much to be done ten years on from Good Friday Agreement2.02.00pm GMT Thu 20th Mar 2008
Commenting on the 10th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement, Alliance Leader David Ford MLA has said that there is still much to be done. The Alliance Leader said: "Ten years ago people of Northern Ireland had a great hope that we were on the threshold of a new beginning. "Now - even though the Assembly is up and running - we see how much still has to be done to build a normal peaceful society in Northern Ireland. "The challenge for all politicians, but the Executive in particular, is to move away from petty squabbling and posturing and genuinely share power for the good of the whole community. Until now we have seen plenty of power carve ups but little of genuine power sharing. " Ends
