Griffin will act to end Gallows Street chicane chaos in Dromore3.37.00pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 8th Feb 2008
Alliance Dromore by-election candidate David Griffin says that if elected he will address a major problem in the town that is creating a real hazard for local drivers. There are three parking spaces at the end of Gallows Street by Dromore Market Square which make driving difficult as they narrow the width of the road. David Griffin said: "The three parking spaces at the end of Gallows Street create an awkward chicane which Silverstone would be proud of. "We all know that parking is a real problem in Dromore town centre, but making parking spaces where there should be double yellow lines is not the solution. "We need more imaginative solutions from Dromore's Councillors than parking spaces that potentially pose danger to life and limb. "If I am elected I will immediately review parking provision in Dromore and will work tirelessly on finding appropriate solutions to the town's parking chaos." ENDS
