South Belfast Alliance MLA Anna Lo has hit out at those involved in throwing petrol bomb in the Donegall Pass area of Belfast last night. Petrol bombs were thrown at house in Vernon Street.

The South Belfast MLA said: "Violence and intimidation have no place in our society.

"I would appeal for calm in the Donegall Pass area. Northern Ireland is moving forward to a brighter future. It is one in which we are attracting companies and tourists from around the world. Such abhorrent incidents set society back but we will not be put off-course.

"South Belfast is a diverse area and people should be able to live in peace without fear of attacks."
