Alliance Deputy Leader and East Belfast MLA, Naomi Long, has hit out at those involved in a shop robbery in East Belfast last night. A masked man robbed the shop on the Upper Newtownards Road at 8pm last night.

Naomi Long MLA said: "I was disgusted to here about last night's robbery. I am sure that the staff working there at the time were left badly shaken by the incident.

"Such actions have absolutely no place in our society.

"I would appeal to anyone who has information on this incident to contact police immediately and assist them in swiftly bringing those involved to justice.
