Alliance Youth Chair Ian James Parsley has welcomed the launch of a "Day of Reflection" web site in the run up to 21 June.

Speaking in Belfast, the North Down Councillor stated: "The views of victims and survivors about dealing with the past are as varied as the victims and survivors themselves. Each has a different story to tell, and a different way of moving on.

"A 'Day of Reflection' is a good way of recognizing that there is no 'one size fits all' where dealing with the past. Instead, it enables individuals to cope with the past and reflect on loved ones in the way most appropriate to them.

"This campaign is perfectly timed as a welcome means of promoting true reconciliation based on what victims and survivors themselves want, not what other people think they should want."
