Long condemns car hijack in East Belfast

East Belfast Alliance Assembly Member, Naomi Long, has condemned an incident in which a man had his car stolen at knifepoint in East Belfast. The incident took place in the carpark at Avoniel Leisure Centre at 19.30 last night.

The Alliance Party Deputy Leader said: "I strongly condemn this act.

"This must have been a very traumatic incident as the car was stolen at knifepoint.

"This was obviously a terrifying incident and I appeal to anyone who has any information on this incident to pass it on to the police immediately."
