South Belfast Alliance Assembly Candidate Anna Lo has welcomed the launch of advice guides for migrant workers in Northern Ireland. The guides which are to be launched today contain information on entitlements for employment, housing, health and social security benefits. The initiative is funded by the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister.

Anna Lo said: "It is great news that advice guides have been produced to let migrant workers know about their rights and provide other essential information for them.

"Migrant workers play such a vital role in our society. They boost Northern Ireland culturally, socially and economically.

"These advice guides will help ensure that migrant workers rights are protected. The promotion and protection of human rights is of paramount importance."
