Government must provide fiscal incentives to boost business - Alliance4.12.01pm GMT Tue 31st Oct 2006
Alliance Economy Spokesperson, Sean Neeson MLA, has stated that major fiscal incentives must be provided to businesses to attract more investment for Northern Ireland. His comments come before the Alliance delegation travel to London tomorrow for a meeting with the Chancellor, Gordon Brown, to discuss the peace dividend. The East Antrim Assembly Member stated: "We are looking forward to a positive and productive meeting with Gordon Brown. "There are a number of economic matters which must be dealt with. A key issue is the need to provide major fiscal incentives to attract more inward investment. This will ensure that we can compete on a level playing field with the Republic of Ireland. "Obviously, from the evidence given to the preparation for government economic sub-group, major issues relating to the improvement of local infrastructure need to be addressed." ENDS
