Alliance welcomes software jobs boost for Northern Ireland

Alliance Party Spokesperson, Cllr Mervyn Jones has welcomed a £23 million jobs boost for Belfast, Londonderry and Strabane stating that Northern Ireland needs the provision of quality jobs. The software company, Northbrook, proposes to provide 400 jobs and Invest NI has provided £5.6 million aid towards the move.

The Belfast City Councillor said: "I am very pleased that Northbrook has announced that it will be creating 400 jobs in Belfast, Londonderry and Strabane.

"Its great to hear of high-quality and high-value jobs being created in Northern Ireland, as it is just the boost that the economy needs after job losses in the manufacturing industry.

"Invest NI has played a pivotal role in the provision of these jobs, as they have provided Northbrook with £5.6 million funding to help with the company's expansion here. Invest NI is a vital protagonist in attracting investment and in the creation of new high-value jobs here."
