Ballymena Alliance Representative Jayne Dunlop has hit out at those involved in a sectarian attack on the Catholic Church in Harryville in Ballymena. The Church, which has previously been the subject of sectarian attacks, was paintbombed early this morning.

Jayne Dunlop said: "I am totally disgusted by this sectarian attack on the Catholic Church in Harryville.

"The whole community got together to get rid of the damage caused by a previous paint bomb attack on this Church. All sides of the community were united in their condemnation of such sectarian acts and they sent a clear signal out that this type of behaviour is totally unacceptable.

"Now that such an attack has happening again, a similar strong message against sectarianism must be sent to these thugs.

"Anyone with information on this incident should contact police immediately."
