Dunlop welcomes jobs boost for Ballymena5.21.33pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 16th Aug 2006
Alliance Party Ballymena Representative, Jayne Dunlop, has welcomed the potential creation of 40 new jobs in the Ballykeel area of Ballymena. The initiative, which was announced by Minister David Hanson today, sees a £740,000 extension being added to an existing business centre in the area. Jayne Dunlop said: "It is great news that potentially 40 new jobs will be created in the Ballykeel area of Ballymena. "This is a welcome boost for an area that deserves investment, and the potential creation of 40 new jobs will greatly help improve the local economy. "This 16 unit extension to the existing business centre in Ballykeel illustrates the progress being made in regenerating the area. "I would like to see similar government initiatives being implemented in the wider Ballymena area, because employment opportunities are limited in many parts of the town." ENDS
