North Antrim Alliance representative, Jayne Dunlop, has slammed the perpetrators of an attack on Bushmills Chapel, which took place over the weekend. The Chapel, which is on Priestland Road in Bushmills, had a tar-like substance thrown over the front of the building.

Jayne Dunlop said: "Those that carry out such abhorrent acts must be brought to justice.

"Sectarianism has no place in any society, and we must continue to strive to eradicate this type of behaviour.

"There have been a spate of senseless sectarian attacks on various building in the North Antrim area over the past few weeks.

"Everyone is sick of thugs and vandals causing trouble in the area. People need to respect each other and uphold the rule of law, or else we will never be able to create a stable society in Northern Ireland."
