Newtownabbey Mayor, Lynn Frazer, has condemned last night's attack on St Marys on the Hill Church and a nearby school on Carnmoney Road.

The Alliance Party Councillor stated: "This type of behaviour is disgraceful and I condemn those involved in such incidents. Three children between the ages of eight and ten were arrested regarding the incident. I am shocked and saddened to hear about these developments.

"Those who lead young children astray and prompt them into committing sectarian acts are an absolute disgrace. People should be setting a positive example for young children, not instilling prejudice and hatred in them."
