Security alert at City Hall causes disruption to everyone - Long3.55.37pm GMT Mon 28th Nov 2005 Alliance Party Group Leader on Belfast City Council Naomi Long has slammed those responsible for a suspicious package found in City Hall. The Security Alert has been ongoing since 11.00 this morning. Cllr Long, who is also Assembly Member for East Belfast, stated: "This alert causes totally unnecessary disruption for everyone. What kind of message does this send out? "Christmas shoppers will have had difficulties in the run-up to the festive season. International traders outside the City Hall have been unable to sell their wares. Retailers, not for the first time recently, will suffer losses due to this irresponsibility. "This sort of thing helps no one at all. It is the height of stupidity." ENDS
