Alderdice welcomes availability of forensic scientist for Lisa Dorrian

5.08.19pm UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 2nd Nov 2005

North Down Alliance Councillor David Alderdice has welcomed news that the forensic scientist looking at the cases of the so-called 'Disappeared' will also be made available for the Lisa Dorrian case.

Dr Alderdice stated: "It is entirely right that any expertise that can be brought in to assist with this tragic loss be made available.

"The Dorrian family has approached its campaign with tremendous courage, and this news is the first move in the right direction.

"This is not remotely a party political issue. The local MP, Lady Hermon, and Councillors from all parties and none are fully behind the family at this difficult time, and we are glad the Secretary of State has taken this

sensible step."
