Alliance condemns bomb attack

David Ford, Alliance Assembly Member for South Antrim, has condemned those responsible for today's pipe bomb attack in Antrim.

David Ford said:

"Yet again ordinary people in Antrim are suffering at the hands of terrorists who are trying to take the law into their own hands: people who are intent on creating fear and tension in Antrim. They must be opposed by all decent people."

"This New Year should be a time of hope for a new beginning for Northern Ireland. A small minority are intent on returning to the bad old days of the troubles."

"I have discussed this attack with the sub-divisional Commander of the police in Antrim. I congratulate him and his officers on their speedy action in connection with the recent murder in the area and call on anyone who can help the police arrest these terrorists to do so."
