Alliance condemns hospital shooting

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 10th May 2002

Alliance Councillor Sara Duncan has condemned the shooting of a man in the grounds of Belvoir Hospital last night.

Cllr Duncan stated:

"While all paramilitary-style shootings are to be condemned, this one was particularly disgusting, as it took place in the grounds of a hospital."

"Those responsible for this attack have no respect for the law or the sanctity of a hospital. This is something the vast majority of people in the Belvoir area will find disturbing, and I implore the community to unite against terrorists taking the law into their own hands."
