Alliance congratulates Bush on expected Presidential victory

Reacting to the likely outcome of the US Presidential election, Alliance Deputy Leader Eileen Bell said:

"I offer my congratulations to George W Bush on what seems to be his inevitable victory.

"The Bush administration has always played a constructive role in the Northern Ireland peace process, and its policy has been put into action by two very capable individuals, Richard Haass and Mitchel Reiss.

"Alliance would particularly highlight their support for a shared society and their championing of integrated education. We look forward to the continuation of the steady US policy here and our good working relationship with the US Consulate."
