Dickson condemns Greenisland attack

12.00.00am GMT Thu 14th Nov 2002

Alliance Alderman, Stewart Dickson, has condemned the brutal paramilitary-style attack against a man in the Glassillan area of Greenisland, and warned that parties should always condemn such attacks

Alderman Dickson, who represents Greenisland, stated:

"Once again, we see a brutal attack against a man carried out by paramilitary thugs.

"It is important that political parties do not allow such attacks to become tolerated through silence. Condemnation should follow every incident.

"These attacks are some of the greatest human rights abuses present in our society today. The arrest and conviction of those responsible for these attacks should be a political and police priority."
