East Belfast shooting condemned

East Belfast Alliance Assembly member Naomi Long has condemned the shooting of a 19-year-old man who was attacked at Larkfield Manor in the Strandtown area on Tuesday evening.

The victim was shot in the legs and treated in hospital.

Cllr Long said: "I utterly condemn this brutal assault on this young man. I would urge anyone with information about this attack to contact the PSNI and would urge the paramilitary thugs behind such incidents to call a halt to their violence immediately."
